Let's tackle the bobbie question!
These are bobbies.
They are cloth diapers (never used) that most would call "blankies or whoobies". Boy HAS to have a bobbie when he sleeps, rides in the car, watches TV or anytime he is relaxing. And he ALWAYS has to at least know where one is. He holds one and sucks his thumb. It is so cute! We have MANY MANY bobbies. This way he doesn't get too attached to one single bobbie - then what happens when it falls apart or we loose it? He gets a new one each morning and new one each night and since he knows where they are now and can open the drawer, many times he helps himself to LOTS of bobbies. So, why is it called a bobbie? Well, there is no one reason. When Boy's oldest cousin M had a blankie when she was little, she called it bobbie when she started talking and it has just stuck over the years. That was 11 years ago.
Here is a picture of a bobbie in use in the car this morning.
Random......
Daddy said last night...what happened to Boy's toe, it is bleeding...Well, we have no idea! We asked him and he didn't know either. He never cried or acted hurt, so WHO KNOWS! After his bath, I looked and I couldn't tell what had happened either, so...it will remain a mystery!
I have to admit something...I have started showering regularly with a male companion and Daddy is aware of it. And he is a huge shower/water HOG! What boy am I showering with you ask?
This one...
It has become a real treat for me to get to shower by myself these days. When he showers with me, I get very little "water time". He stands under the stream just like an adult and when I try to get in to rinse off, he pushes my legs and says, "No Mommy!". So basically, I shower with him instead of vice versa! When I do get the shower to myself, I have to watch where I step because the floor of our shower has become another toy box. Boy drags in all kinds of toys into the shower and leaves them there. The other day I showered with, two cups, a toothbrush, a little toy car and a plastic clothes hanger - by the way those hurt when you step on them!!
So, I leave you with this cute picture I took at the park yesterday.
Happy Wednesday!

Boy and I could not share the shower...I NEED my hot water to feel more normal. Plus, any child that took a shower with me would have 3rd degree burns because the water is so hot...that keeps Carl out as well, there is always an underlying motive in this house.

T is now very much into showering with one of us. She prefers a shower over a bath. Must be the age :)
